Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Diploma in Stores Management or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in stores management or inventory control.
Experience managing stock for tyres, motor vehicle spares or automotive products will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of stock receiving, issuing, recording and reconciliation.
Ability to maintain accurate stock records and prepare inventory reports.
Good organisational, communication and record-keeping skills.
High levels of honesty, integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
Computer literacy and experience with inventory management systems will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, record and safely store incoming stock.
Issue tyres, spare parts and other items in accordance with approved procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records.
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock against recorded balances.
Monitor stock levels and report low-stock items for timely replenishment.
Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damages and losses.
Ensure proper organisation, security and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Prepare regular stock movement and inventory reports.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Study Medical Officer, the incumbent is responsible for screening and enrolling study participants, obtaining informed consent, conducting study procedures, and ensuring proper specimen collection and handling in accordance with study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

The incumbent provides HIV testing, adherence, and treatment literacy counselling while maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential study records. The role includes monitoring participants, reporting adverse events, supervising community health workers, and ensuring timely processing of peer timesheets.

The incumbent also supports quality assurance, monitoring visits, reporting, and timely communication of clinical information to relevant clinicians, while ensuring compliance with infection prevention, biosafety, and waste management standards. The role remains accountable for study resources and supplies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct participant screening and enrolment in accordance with study protocols, standard operating procedures, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Conduct the informed consent process and obtain written informed consent or assent from participants and caregivers before any study procedures, ensuring appropriate procedures are followed for literate, partially literate, and illiterate participants.
Perform study-related procedures, including specimen collection for viral load, CD4, and other laboratory investigations as required by the protocol.
Ensure collection of the correct specimen type, volume, and number according to the protocol and laboratory requirements.
Package, label, store, and transport study specimens to the laboratory under appropriate temperature and biosafety conditions.
Maintain accurate and complete participant source documents, case report forms, and study records, ensuring secure filing and confidentiality.
Provide pre-test and post-test counselling to participants and caregivers, including HIV testing counselling, treatment literacy support, adherence counselling, risk reduction, and psychosocial support.
Monitor participants during and after study procedures and report any adverse events or protocol deviations according to study requirements.
Supervise community health workers at the project site to ensure adherence to work requirements.
Facilitate and oversee the preparation and signing of peer timesheets to ensure timely payment of peer stipends.
Ensure project-related clinical information is communicated promptly to clinicians and/or the co-Principal Investigator (co-PI), as required.
Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities, preparation for monitoring visits, and report writing.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) procedures, biosafety requirements, and waste management protocols.
Always follow and adhere to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
Be accountable and responsible for study resources and supplies, including data collection forms, participant files, study equipment, and facilities.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

Diploma in Nursing.
Valid registration under GNC or the relevant professional body.
Prior experience in HIV and/or TB research.
Working knowledge of national HIV treatment guidelines.
Evidence of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training.
