About the Role

LumikaHub is looking for a confident, proactive, and results-driven Field Sales Representative to support our growth within Zambia's education sector.

This is a hands-on field sales role. The successful candidate will spend a significant part of their time visiting schools across Lusaka and surrounding areas, meeting decision-makers, presenting and demonstrating our technology solution, developing relationships, and converting prospective schools into customers.

This opportunity is particularly suited to someone who enjoys face-to-face selling, is confident approaching new organisations, and is motivated by performance-based earnings.

Remuneration

This is a performance and commission-based field sales opportunity rather than a traditional fixed-salary office role.

The initial remuneration structure is:

• K1,500 monthly field support allowance towards transport, airtime, and mobile data.
• K100 for each qualified school demonstration completed.
• 5% commission on first-year revenue actually received from schools successfully acquired by the representative.
• Additional performance incentives may be introduced for exceeding agreed sales targets.
• Performance and remuneration will be reviewed following the initial 3-month period.

A qualified school demonstration means a completed presentation or product demonstration with an appropriate school decision-maker, such as a proprietor, headteacher, principal, bursar, administrator, or other authorised decision-maker, with the meeting and outcome properly recorded in the CRM.

Sales commission becomes payable against qualifying revenue received by LumikaHub from schools acquired by the representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the education sector.
• Conduct regular face-to-face visits to schools across Lusaka and surrounding areas.
• Approach prospective schools and identify appropriate decision-makers.
• Engage with school owners, headteachers, principals, bursars, administrators, and other key stakeholders.
• Present and demonstrate our technology solution clearly and professionally.
• Generate qualified sales opportunities and arrange product demonstrations.
• Follow up prospective clients by telephone, WhatsApp, email, and face-to-face meetings.
• Convert prospective schools into customers.
• Support interested schools through the onboarding process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Maintain accurate records of school visits, contacts, demonstrations, follow-ups, and outcomes using the company CRM.
• Manage an assigned sales territory and pipeline effectively.
• Work towards agreed weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Provide regular feedback on customer requirements, competitor activity, and market opportunities.

Performance Expectations

Performance will be measured on both sales activity and results, including:

• Schools visited.
• Relevant decision-makers engaged.
• Qualified demonstrations completed.
• Quality and consistency of follow-up activity.
• Sales pipeline generated.
• Schools successfully converted.
• Revenue generated.
• Accuracy and completeness of CRM records.
• Professionalism and quality of customer relationships.

The initial period will also allow LumikaHub to establish realistic conversion benchmarks and refine future sales targets based on actual market performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in field sales, direct sales, business development, customer acquisition, or a similar customer-facing role.
• Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Experience within education, technology, telecommunications, financial services, or a related sector would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
