Acacia College, located in Ibex, Lusaka, is looking for a creative, energetic, and results-driven Marketing Assistant to support the College's marketing, student recruitment, digital communication, and brand development activities.

The successful candidate will play an important role in increasing the visibility of Acacia College, generating student enquiries, supporting enrolment campaigns, managing digital content, and engaging with prospective students, parents, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to increase student enrolment.
• Manage and update the College's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp.
• Create engaging content, including social media posts, posters, videos, photographs, flyers, and promotional materials.
• Respond to enquiries from prospective students and parents through social media, WhatsApp, telephone, and other communication channels.
• Follow up with prospective students and maintain an updated database of marketing leads.
• Support admissions and student recruitment activities.
• Promote College programmes, events, facilities, achievements, and student activities.
• Assist with organising open days, career fairs, exhibitions, school visits, and other recruitment events.
• Conduct market research on competing schools and colleges and identify new marketing opportunities.
• Assist with digital advertising campaigns and monitor campaign performance.
• Collect photographs and videos during College activities for promotional purposes.
• Assist with updating website and online marketing content.
• Prepare weekly and monthly marketing activity reports.
• Monitor social media engagement and provide recommendations for improving the College's online presence.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, parents, schools, community organisations, and other stakeholders.
• Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field is an advantage.
• Additional training or certification in Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, or Content Creation will be an added advantage.

Experience

• At least 1–2 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, sales, communications, public relations, customer service, or a related position.
• Previous experience in an educational institution will be an advantage.
• Demonstrable experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.

Required Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written English.
• Good social media management skills.
• Content creation and basic graphic design skills.
• Proficiency in Canva or similar graphic design tools.
• Basic photography and video-editing skills.
• Good knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work towards marketing and student recruitment targets.
• Strong customer-service and follow-up skills.
