Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's needs.
- Provide direct instructional support to children with learning challenges, disabilities or developmental delays.
- Integrate Christian values into teaching and classroom management.
- Collaborate with carers, teachers and parents to ensure holistic child development.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of assessments and interventions.
- Create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education with specialisation in special needs.
- Experience working with children requiring additional support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy and creativity in teaching approaches.
- Commitment to Christian values and ability to model them in daily practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid TCZ registration.

Position: Special Needs Teacher
Teaching Focus: Teaching an autistic child
Location: Chalala, Lusaka, Zambia
Hours: 2 hours per day
Schedule: 3 days per week
Salary: K1,800 per month
Employment Type: Part-time

Propitious Minds Reading Academy is looking for a patient, caring and passionate Special Needs Teacher to support the learning and development of an autistic child.
The successful candidate will contribute to a supportive learning environment designed to help the child develop their abilities and reach their potential.

- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Knowledge of autism teaching strategies.
- Patient, caring and passionate approach to working with children.
- Relevant qualifications are an added advantage.
